Great three days visit to Barry Positive: Mainly the location opposite the Tadross. The facilities were excellent also. Negative: Property was fine but it took me a while to work out the heating the thermostat seemed to work in reverse ie dropped the temperature to 14c to start the boiler up. I left a note for the next people.

Not a great stay . Basically a ‘ make do’ . Wouldn’t recommend it Positive: Clean and tidy . Made an effort Negative: We had to pay a surcharge insurance when we arrived . Very very unhappy about that . You could pay £25 non refundable or £100 refundable . You had no choice but to choose one or the other or you weren’t getting in . Disgusting . Also , above a curry shop so the whole place stunk of curry

Clean and comfy Positive: Very clean with comfy bed and nice towels. Well equipped kitchen. Decent TV. Curry house below makes amazing food. Negative: Can't deny that the Indian restaurant underneath means in the evening, you can definitely smell it and worse if windows are opened. Definitely need a fan in there, had to borrow one from a mate down the road.

Very deceptive description of property. Positive: The fact you could take the dog. The towels were good quality and smelled clean. The bedding seemed clean. Negative: Very deceptive description. No lounge area, no sofa, no wardrobe. No fan, even though I was told one would be there. It was in a very rough area above a takeaway. The whole place stank of curry and fried food from the takeaway. You could hear every conversation in the takeaway, very loudly. They were banging pots and pans at the back around 10.30pm. It was not a good place to stay. We only stayed the 1st night because we had nowhere else to go but we left the next day.

Misleading descriptions Positive: The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well equiped Negative: The description of the room stating king size, the description of the suit location very miss leading as it says near barry island gavin and stacy pub when in reality its over the road above an Indian takeaway.and the smell of the food is over powering if any windows happen to be open The finish to the room is poor. Cracked shower tray chipped tiles the main door to the room looks like the architrave has been ripped off and screw back in to place the windows looking out on to the docks is blown and full of condensation so you could not see the view, by the way it was a garden full of rubbish and not very clean. Parking is a side street but it did say that when booking
