Poor communication, misleading parking information and unexpected charges Positive: The host was responsive before check-in and provided clear instructions for locating the property and collecting the keys. The apartment itself was generally clean, and the check-in process was straightforward. Negative: The Booking.com listing advertised free on-street parking, but parking was extremely difficult to find. We later found a parking permit in the apartment, which had not communicated to us before, but it was only valid until 30 July, while our stay continued until 31 July. We were also surprised by an additional security deposit that was not clearly disclosed in the original listing. The bedroom light was quite dim, the windows needed cleaning, and the fans provided were not adequate for the warm weather. These issues significantly affected our stay, and unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again unless they are addressed.

Lovely apartment, noisy location Positive: The apartment was very nicely furnished, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was also good. Communication was excellent as were check in instructions Negative: The apartment is above a shop on a busy high street. We stayed during a heatwave and needed to have the windows open at night. Through no fault of the hosts, the noise from late night revellers and boy racers tearing down the street kept us awake most of the night.

Barry Island accommodation Positive: Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Lovely bakeries nearby. Negative: There was lots of noise from the street outside at night (drunken shouts, cars revving and blasting music) but it was on the high street so probably par for the course with the pubs around.

Very good apart from a couple of issues. But didn't spoil my stay and would definitely stay again. Positive: Everything you need. Negative: Parking is a bit hit and miss. Had to park in next street with expensive equipment in my van. (Too big to carry). But that's just luck of the draw. My phone wouldn't open links to access the building. But got there in the end after downloading a different web browser. Which took a long time due to phone signal very poor.

Comfortable Home for Short and Longer Stays Positive: Lots of space, bedroom an living room we're comfortable. Was clean and good communication Negative: Kitchen was a bit rough around the edges and would have been nice to have a dishwasher.
