Perfect stay Positive: Perfect place to stay for Wales! Negative: There are a few scuffs and chips around the house and we were worried we would be blamed for these as we had a dog with us. We took pictures on the day we got in the house but this was never mentioned by anyone so that's nice as we definitely didn't do any damage!

Negative: Parking was difficult

Beautiful Barry Positive: Ideal location with lots of local amenities nearby, Negative: There is on street parking which is sparse, we had to park down on the main road which was a pain. Some of the property needs updating / maintenance, the front windows need replacing as we could hear the roads outside.

Very disappointed Positive: Convenient location, close to the train station and shops. Free street parking outside was good. Negative: The property was lacking any basics - no washing up liquid, hand soap, salt, pepper, cooking oil, surface cleaner... All of which we would expect in a property and had to purchase. There was a severe lack of cutlery... only 3 knives and 2 teaspoons - we had to go out and buy more for our stay. The heating system was temperamental and the instructions on their online guide were not relevant to the property, resulting in a few hours of us freezing before the thermostat had a 'signal' to the boiler. The owner contacted us expecting access to the property during our stay, saying that he wanted to empty the bins and recycling which was (overflowing and disgusting) in the garden - we saw this as poor customer service and an invasion of our privacy, the bins should've been emptied before our stay and we shouldn't have to arrange access to the owner to something preventable like this. The windows were thin, draughty and we could hear all the noise outside. They have cheap Venetian blinds with no curtains, meaning that light could come through. The bedroom was flooded with next doors' Christmas lights. The property is described as pet friendly, but there are multiple devices in the garden for emitting sonic sounds to deter animals. My dog found these uncomfortable and we had to turn them off. The description detailed a coffee machine but no pods are provided unless you pay an extortionate amount for them. Overall I feel that the photos of the property are deceiving - they show a well presented property well equipped with crockery, wine and well presented decor... In reality the house is as equipped as a basic Travel lodge, the wallpaper and bath panel are damaged, the carpet wasn't the cleanest (and no vacuum/brush). Extortionate stay for what it was.

Barry property Positive: Warm shower, comfortable bed and good wifi. Central location for Barry Negative: Not enough towels provided, only two for four guests. Only x3 eating knives in the set of curlery. Some bulbs missing or not working. No big bag in kitchen refuse bin. No clean dish sponges, but three previously used and dirty scrubbers. Large stain on bed blanket and duvet very light tog. Hallways and corridors are heavily marked and worn. Messaged owner with concerns about towels but nothing addressed.
