Joseph Suite | Stylish 3BR • Sleeps 7 • Wifi

I was attending a family wedding and needed somewhere big enough for 6 people. We usually stay at the well known hotel c Positive: Joseph suite is a hidden gem in. From the outside you wouldn’t think such a lovely house was inside. Nicely decorated, comfy bedrooms, large lounge area with comfy pull out sofa bed. Downstairs bathroom & upstairs toilet. We’re a family of 6 adults and this house was big enough for us all. The property is in the High street area, so you’ve got plenty of shops, a Wetherspoons 2 minute walk away, train station 4 mins away. You’ve got Barry island 2 min drive away. Negative: The steep staircase… which to be fair is standard in these Barry Victorian terrace houses, I just had to walk carefully on a side step going downwards. Not a dislike but noticed a few areas where a bit of paint touch up was needed. Also not a dislike but guests should be made aware that there is a camera just inside front door and outside back door, I understand it’s for Security purposes but I wasn’t aware of this when booking.

Positive: A nice stay overall - good location and a good size house for our group of 5 adults and a dog. Negative: Key code in check in instructions was wrong, managed to find the correct one via the YouTube video. Couldn't connect to the wifi. House could have been a little cleaner / less dusty and beds could have been a lot comfier. A teatowel would have been nice so we could dry our washing up.

OK ! But not worth the money and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend! Sorry. Positive: Location to local amenities Negative: Unfortunately the bathroom and kitchen were very grubby …. There were used tissues from previous users …… dirty cutlery - we had to wash things before we used them. No basic condiments. Dirty ceiling lights and pull cords. It felt to us we had come to stay in a student lodgings. There was only one tea towel and dish cloth and no cleaning spray. As we were six people sharing and using the kitchen this was inadequate. We were eventually given two more tea towels and some spray on request. But please ring the office number as the messages take hours to be answered. Also unfortunately there was a constant strong smell of ‘weed’ so had to keep shutting the windows.

A stylish, pleasant, clean home. Positive: Very stylish comfy home stocked with everything we needed. Easy to access & a good location for Barry Island - short drive, not really walking distance. Negative: One of the double beds had a metal frame & was very squeaky every time either of us moved resulting in disturbed sleep. The parking permit was not available when we arrived which meant a few phone calls & e-mails to get it sorted.
