Lovely stay really lovely. Positive: Yeah, for me this apartment was perfect, big bath lovely, bedroom lovely sitting room diner was perfect, telly was slow but I dont watch TV anyway so no probs. Just right gor me.

Terrible Positive: Nothing, apart from the location and the free parking permit to be able to park on the street outside. Negative: The apartment is sold as a deluxe apartment. The photos on booking.com are totally misleading. The photos are amalgamated from 2 properties, leading you to think you will have a large spacious apartment when in fact it is tiny, dingey and dark. The decor is shabby, knocks out of the walls, the power shower has stopped working and has been replaced with an over the bath extension of the tap. The grout is mouldy. They state that you do not need to bring anything, have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, this was 2 shabby soap dispensers in the wall with white sticky labels saying shower gel and shampoo, no expense spared with the shower gel, it didn’t even produce one bubble. The bedroom was tiny, no room to walk or get dressed, I will attach photos of actually how small it was, the bed is so small my husband couldn’t fit in it and we had to pull out the hard sofa bed and sleep on that in the lounge with the bins. The sofa bed was rock hard on one side and soft on the other, we had to rock paper scissors who gets the best side. The longe is tiny, the sofa is to be desired. There were 4 bins in the lounge/kitchen area , placed right next to the TV. It was cleanish. The pillows are old, lumpy and yellow inside, and it was dusty. If this was photographed and not advertised as a ‘deluxe’ apartment but as a cheap stay close to Gavin and Stacey’s house, and actual photos of the actual apartment, I could have made an informed decision of whether to book and I wouldn’t have been soo disappointed. Totally mis-sold!

Great place Positive: Clean comfortable everything you need was there and staff really helpful and friendly

Great Location great value for money I would stay here again! Positive: Very easy and clear instructions of how to get into the property. Sent through email and just before we checked in all was good. The place was a fair size good enough for a couple and it was clean. Everything you needed in the kitchen and tv in both the bedroom and main lounge. Shower and bath worked lovely and was clean. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. And great location for our needs. Very close to restaurants and walking distance to the beaches. We would stay again if we could get it for the same price we paid. It was very good value for money as we booked last minute. Negative: It was a touch smaller than the photos showed but that was alright. We couldn’t find the parking permit in the flat but we contacted the hosts and the next day they sorted it for us. It was a bit warm in the flat as it was during one of the heatwave weeks and only 1 AC tower but I’ve stayed in hotter places so it was bearable and we only stayed in the flat to sleep and get washed and ready to go out doing things in Barry day and evening.

Positive: Easy parking . Easy access. Nice to have tea coffee etc when we arrived. Contact was good.
